16 December 2020, Bangkok, Thailand – Recently, Anantara Vacation Club, Southeast Asia’s premier points-based vacation ownership programme, partnered with Florentia Village, China’s leading premium Italian-style outlet in Shanghai, to open a brand-promoting store in Florentia Village’s Shanghai location. This latest initiative marks an enhancement of cooperation between the two parties, as Anantara Vacation Club continues to develop the Chinese market.

One of the largest hotel and leisure companies in the Asia-Pacific region, Anantara Vacation Club, under the Minor International Group, has been advocating the right to enjoy future vacation accommodation at today's prices since its establishment in 2010, and provides Club Points Owners and their guests with the opportunity to explore top holiday destinations around the globe. The flexible points-based system provides members with flexibility when making travel plans. In the past, Anantara Vacation Club’s brand-promoting stores were located in or near its hotels and resorts, in locations such as Phuket, Bangkok and Bali. However, as global travel has been restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic, Anantara Vacation Club has opened a brand-promoting store in the Chinese market for the first time, in order to introduce China-based guests who wish to travel domestically to the benefits of Club Points Ownership.

The brand-promoting store is the result of an exciting partnership with Florentia Village in Shanghai. The partnership began in September 2018, and has continued to flourish. At present, more than 70,000 Florentia Village members have chosen to convert their loyalty points to Anantara Vacation Club – Club Points, which can be used to stays at select hotels and resorts around the globe. In addition to serving as a promotional tool for Anantara Vacation Club, the store will also bring exclusive services to more Florentia Village members, including: points exchange, membership, activities, tourist information, and will provide a more intimate shopping experience for Florentia Village’s visitors.

"We are honored to join our strategic partner, Florentia Village, in the opening of our first brand-promotion store in the Chinese market." said Maurizio Bisicky, Chief Operating Officer at Anantara Vacation Club. "Our cooperation with Florentia Village has proven to be very effective. We look forward to welcoming members of Florentia Village to visit our new brand-experience store to gain first-hand information regarding our new domestic travel options."

"Florence Village has always welcomed various forms of cooperation." said Mr. Maurizio Lupi, Managing Director of Florentia Village and RDM Asia. "We are very pleased to further enhance our strategy with Anantara Vacation Club. Through the win-win cooperation with partners, we will create an even better service experience for a large number of Florentia Village members."

Anantara Vacation Club and Florentia Village’s brand-promotion store is located on the 2nd floor of Scientist Square in Florentia Village, Shanghai. The overall design echoes the themes of classic Thai-style with Italian romance, creating feelings of a home away from home for visitors.

This year, Anantara Vacation Club has made various moves in the Chinese market. In light of the global pandemic, the company quickly adjusted its strategy in accordance with the developing situation. In addition to extending Club Points’ validity and creating customised financial solutions for Club Points Owners, it has also continuously expanded its initiatives with global partners, provided more domestic travel destinations and created additional flexible Points’ usage options.
