Relaxing My wife and I recently stayed at the Avani Kalutara resort upon our recent visit to Sri Lanka. The resort itself is location in a remote part Kalutara (between a lagoon and the ocean) which is perfect as there is nothing between than falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves and the ocean besides that it was very quiet. The rooms where immaculate with free water (on a daily basis) + an assortment of soft drinks in the mini that are also free and replenished on a daily basis. Because we went 'off peak' occupancy at the Hotel was low which was perfect for us and it always guaranteed a place at the pool at anytime of day (between 7am -7pm). The food was served buffet style for both breakfast and dinner with a wide variety of food to choose from. The bar serves a verity of cocktails (between Rs950 – Rs1,200) and 2 type of beer (I preferred the Lion Lager) and often theme night ( The night before I could leave they organise sundowners on the beach) The staff and management were AMAZING! Always smiling and extremely helpful (felt very pampered). Also you should be aware that because it is so remote there is not much in the surrounding area. In conclusion we had an amazing time at Avani Kalutara and would DEFINETLY return! Thank you for a wonderful stay and amazing hospitality.

Avani Staff and Management work very hard to make your stay a very pleasant and relaxing time, if any problems arise they would like to know so they can fix them asap.Everywhere was clean and tidy and they greet you in the traditional way or with a hi, hello or good morning.

Fabulous We have just returned from the avani hotel kalutara.Perfect hotel beautiful surroundings very pleased we stayed here.Our rooms were lovely comfortable and clean.The breakfast was everything you needed.Pool area was magnificent peaceful and relaxing and the attennd always made our beds for us and kept us comfortable.We were half board and the food was amazing.We were able to use the anantara resort next door and the food was incredible.We chose the Italian restaurant most nights which was outstanding.Also the spice restaurant which was also outstanding.The reception arangedval wee cart to take us to the restaurant which was great fun.All the staff were amazing at this hotel.Could not fault anything at all here it's service is outstanding.We booked tours with red lobster tours which is just outside the hotel and they were fabulous.Reliable family with great knowledge for the things you want to do. New clean mini vans we had amazing trips with shiyan to yala national park and kandy.Would highly recommend them and the hotel.Will definitely be returning.
